Creating this catalog for the extremely talented artist, Jan Sawka, I found it to be a great way to display how
small and minute design choices can have a large effect on how a book can look. Through the use of a tight grid system, I designed a book that tells the story of Jan Sawka in 4 chapters and over 50 pages.

The catalog overviews Sawka’s rise to fame in Poland for his subliminally political posters, his exile to the United States, and his later years as a painter. Each section of the book is carefully designed to coexist with his art-style that changed over time.
